Dare you enter the deep forests of Rufford Abbey where bears, snakes and tigers roam? However most of them are friendly and break into the odd show tune!
Our adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling classic, will have you singing with baloo the bear, swinging with king louie and avoiding capture by Shere Khan.
This experience breaks down those traditional theatre walls transporting audiences into the complete wonderment of 'the jungle book'.
Take an hour-long journey through dance, puppetry, music and comedy. Featuring professional performers, fantastic costumes, beautiful scenery.

HOW OLD MUST YOU BE?
This production is suitable for Tweedles aged 5+. Younger children are permitted at parents discretion however they must be able to obtain regular theatre etiquette. The show contains loud music, theatrical lighting and some scarier scenes involving the Queen of Hearts.
WHAT EXACTLY IS IT?
This is a live show featuring professional performers. You will be seated throughout the whole performance which, unlike traditional theatre, is performed in-the-round. The show is extremely immersive and audience members will feel completely involved in the story, offering an alternative experience to a traditional 'Christmas pantomime' with this intimate production.

Can i bring my dog?
Yes! Well behaved wolves are welcome to our events on a lead. However if there are any disturbances, you will be asked to leave.
What if it rains?
This is an outdoor event, so be prepared for changes in weather.
Bring on the rain jackets, umbrellas and wellies! The show will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions.

Arriving for my event?
Please arrive at our box office area no more than 10 minutes before you performance time to avoid group crossovers. You will need to display your tickets and then be admitted.
If you arrive late, your show will have already begun, and you will not be permitted into you event. Refunds will not be given for late arrivals.

how old must you be?
This production is suitable for adventurers aged 3+ all the way up to those old wise panthers out there. However, young children are permitted at parents discretion. The show will require walking through forested areas, remaining quite during performance zones and some scarier scenes involving Shere Khan.

With all our experiences we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment. If we have availability you are welcome to buy on the door, but these are first come first serve.
The health and safety of our visitors is our number one priority. We are closely following the Government’s advice and will continue to implement a large number of COVID-19 prevention measures. However with this being an outdoor event the risk of transmission is much lower.
What exactly is it?
This is a walk-through trail experience. Groups of up to 30 will walk through the woodland where they will be met by live actors in six magical performance zones.
You will NOT be seated watching this performance. Audience participation takes place during the performance.
Are there toilets?
Guests may use the toilets available at The Abbey Courtyard which is a 5 minute walk from our box office. Please go before the show, once it has started you must wait until the whole performance has finished - otherwise you will not be re-admitted.
Wheelchair users and parents with prams are welcome to attend.
However we must make you aware that this trail is in a rustic, outdoor setting with rubber matting flooring. Some of the ground may be uneven and there is a slight incline slope during the trail. We recommend those in a wheelchair to have someone with them to support them if necessary.
There are two car parks on site. The main 'Abbey' car park with 400 spaces (closest to the event).
Then a smaller 'Mill' car park with 100 spaces. Both car parks are £5 per car, which gives you access to use the park facilities and grounds. You are also welcome to pre-book a space in 'The Mill' car park before you arrive here!
We offer the opportunity to book an exclusive show that will only have 'your party' in the experience. For large groups and schools we would like to generously offer a discounted rate. Please email us directly to book for groups or private shows.
Refund and exchanges
All tickets are non-refundable. However if you have given a 48 hours notice period that you are unable to attend the event, we can honour to exchange your tickets to new dates to this event only - subject to availability.
Carers and children under the age of 3 require a ticket. However these are at a discounted price.

When you arrive at Rufford Abbey we are at the nearside woodland in front of the Abbey itself.
Look out for our 'Rainbow box office' where you will need to display your ticket for entry into the attraction.
